Joint Source-Channel Coding (JSCC)
A traditional digital video communication is subject to the cliff effect, meaning it will suddenly lose digital signal reception when a minimum threshold of signal quality is reached. Fortunately, HDZero uses Joint Source-Channel Coding (JSCC) technology, enabling its video reception to gradually roll off when signal strength decreases – akin to an analogue.
robust video link
In a low SNR scenario, the traditional digital video link is unable to provide a stable data stream, blacking out the display. In contrast, HDZero provides a robust video link even with lower SNR.
